greyhawk, aka desperadoi don't know if it was the gin in the tom collins, the fact that i love that song, the fact that john is so darn cool, or the fact that he sang so well, but for some reason thinking about him singing desperado makes me happy. mr roling will always be "desperado" to me from here on out.
luckily someone took some pictures of him onstage and they ended up in the flickr collection. as a result greyhawk68 has been added to the face roll. hehe.
see john, this is what happens when you don't send me an image. although i probably would have put those in there anyway... there is one of him in there with a nice big smile, but two of him rockin the mic.
it's fun!

LOL, yup, he did it to be funny, but in the end, it ended up being, well, just too *good* to be funny! And did you see the Flicr pic with Julian and Chris fighting for Greyhawk's attention? That's one of my all time fav's of the week.
Thanks! And yes, it was airplane. When I left, some people sitting near the door said "goodnight Grace!" Sigh. I spend a LOT of time in the car, and there's just nothing else to do!

yeah, that was a good one. we really had way too much fun!
what i couldn't get over was that, that old airplane tune was so complex in a timing sense. i never realized how complicated that tune was until i saw you sing it.
you see a fair number of people who can find the key, but you had the key and the timing and everything. you did sound like grace slick.

LOL Julian! Well, the whole thing is pretty surreal if you think about the situation.
1. You're up on stage, singing, with all eyes on you.
2. In front of all our professional colleagues from all over the world.
3. In a sushi bar.
4. In DISNEY WORLD!
You know, come to think about it, if I wasn't having such a good time, I almost might think it has all the components of a proper nightmare!! :-)
