Shipping company Uline continues to expand in Lehigh Valley

Marine supply company Uline first arrived in the Lehigh Valley nearly two decades ago, when warehouses sprouted much less frequently than they have in recent years.

It expanded to a 1.6 million square foot facility in Upper Macungie Township in 2017, not far from Air Products’ new headquarters off Route 222.

Privately held Uline is planning another fulfillment center, about 8 miles south in neighboring Lower Macungie Township. Its new distribution center will be located in the Spring Creek warehouse development on Congdon Hill Drive.

Uline is looking to hire and train between 90 and 120 employees, including warehouse workers, forklift operators, mechanics, caretakers and managers, according to a company press release. Salaries start at $25/hour. For more information, visit It employs nearly 1,000 people in the Valley.

The Lower Macungie center is expected to open in late summer or early fall. It is owned by Liberty Property Limited Partnership, which acquired the property in 2016 from Lehigh Valley developer David Jaindl, according to Lehigh County property records. It opened its operations in Lehigh Valley in 2004.

Based in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Uline is a 40+ year old family business with 8,500 employees at 12 locations.
